DNA Identification Service
Standard DNA species identification for raw materials
Our company uses certified DNA barcoding identification methods for routine testing of medicinal raw materials. The typical testing process takes approximately three weeks. Upon receiving the customer’s sample for testing, we first extract the sample DNA for preliminary quality assessment analysis before proceeding with DNA barcoding identification. For more information on the technical details of routine DNA barcoding, please refer to technical introduction.

Customized DNA species identification service
Although there are standardized methods and procedures for DNA barcode identification that effectively identify medicinal herb raw materials, optimized testing processes and conditions, including DNA extraction and PCR conditions, are required for processed products (such as granules, decoctions) or specific breeding analysis. Our research team, with over 30 years of experience in developing identification protocols, can customize the most suitable testing conditions based on the characteristics of the customer’s sample. The development cost and testing time for customized identification protocols depend on the complexity of the sample and testing. Once an exclusive identification method is successfully developed, subsequent testing fees are approximately 1/4 of the development cost.
Test certificate/Comprehensive test report
After completing the DNA identification testing service, we will provide customers with the relevant test identification result certificate without any additional charges. Based on customer requirements, we can also provide a comprehensive test report that includes testing methods and result analysis.
